Charlie's Place

My latest profit donation comes from Amanda & Jeff's gorgeous mountain wedding that we shot late last year.  They ultimately chose Charlie's Place, the new animal shelter in Clear Creek County.  Charlie's Place is a brand new, modern, county owned and managed animal shelter serving the residents of Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties.  More information can be gathered here...

UNICEF - Haiti Earthquake Relief

The disaster that has gripped Haiti is still fresh in our minds.  But let us not forget as time passes and continue to support our neighbors in their efforts to rebuild their lives.  As part of my commitment to change how businesses work, I have made another non-profit donation to UNICEF.  I urge you to do the same if you can.  We can all give back even if it is just a little.  UNICEF is a great organization that has done a lot of great work all over the world, rest assured your donation will be put to great use.

This post wouldn't be complete without a reference to photography.  There is a lot of great photo-journalism coming out of Haiti and I wanted to share some moving photos with you.  Have a look at Damon Winter's and some other great photographers work for the New York Times.  Take care of each other out there.

Renewable energy transported by human powered energy!

A few captures from working this morning.  My good pal Ellen referred me to the guys at Community Cycles who were helping transport new solar panels from Namaste Solar to Naropa University.  It was fitting to transport renewable energy via human powered bicycles, so what better event for me to cover?! Everyone was volunteering their time today, so it was a great event and spirit of togetherness making the world a better place a little at a time.
